Live ISO
Bootable UEFI live system image. This is a hybrid ISO that can be written to USB or burned to DVD.
USB installation:
dd if=ironforge-live.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress && sync
Replace /dev/sdX with your USB device (check with lsblk). This will overwrite all data on the drive.
DVD: Burn with your favorite tool (xorriso, brasero, k3b) or on Windows with built-in burner.
Boot: The system boots via UEFI only (no legacy BIOS support). Select the USB/DVD from your UEFI boot menu.

Firmware
Current releases include firmware in usr.sqfs at /usr/lib/firmware.
There is no separate firmware download or mount required. The firmware
package supplies selected Linux firmware and the wireless regulatory database;
nvidia-utils adds NVIDIA GSP firmware.
The standalone firmware image listed in older installation instructions is
historical. Use a matching current /usr and /opt release pair and follow the
initrd documentation.
